Year One

Making our Writing 

Recently the Year Ones have been exploring and using word choice to build images in the reader’s mind through their writing. We have been having so much fun engaging in different language experiences to springboard our thinking including:

• Making popcorn language experience
• Autumn leaves scavenger hunt 
• Creating our own I’m Green and I’m Grumpy inspired  lift the flap book
• The Fearsome, Frightening, Ferocious Box inspired mystery object box

The Fearsome, Frightening, Ferocious Box was such a fun book!

I love that we got to draw things in our mystery box

I loved watching the popcorn popping in the air

The leaves have lots of stripes 

I’ve learnt that adjectives are describing words

I learnt so many new words!

We published our own book just like I’m Green and I’m Grumpy
