Families, can you please ensure that enrolment forms are completed for any siblings entering Prep in 2025? We would like to have our enrolments finalised by July 26th. If you know of other families, who may have Preps starting, please encourage them to join a school tour (see website) and complete the enrolment form.
Thank you to Michael Grech who organised our new enrolments signage on Aughtie Drive.
As you know, Covid continues to be prevalent in the community. We also have respiratory illnesses apparent across the school. Parents and Carers, it is really important that you keep your child at home if they are unwell, in an effort to minimise the spread. Unfortunately, our casual relief teacher agency is finding it difficult to provide enough replacement teachers at the moment. Moving into winter, this is likely to be an on-going situation. I appreciate your support with this.
At the end of term, we farewell Laoise O’Toole, who is about to have twins. This is a really exciting period for Laoise and we wish her all the best. We are currently recruiting for a replacement Art teacher, to work alongside Ms Michael.
On Friday, 13th September, we will be holding an exciting whole school performance, led by our wonderful Ms Paech. Students are already rehearsing and Ms Paech has begun gathering a working party to coordinate costuming, tech, staging etc.. If you would like to join this group, please email lisa.paech@education.vic.gov.au .
At the conclusion of the performance, we would like to host an ‘after show’ event where we can celebrate the show and its performers and come together as a community.
We’re looking for a parent to take the lead on the ‘after show’. The format can be as simple or as intricate as:
We’re open to suggestions but need someone to project manage the ‘after show’. If you think you might be that person, or there are two of you that could coordinate the event together, please email south.melbourne.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au , attention Ms Arnold.
