YEAR 8
Building Strong Connections
Head of Year 8
This week, it was wonderful to see so many of our Year 8 students showing their support for R U OK? Day by day, wearing yellow and helping to promote this important initiative. While the day itself is a great reminder, the message behind it extends far beyond just one day.
We continue to encourage our young people to check in with their friends, ask “Are you OK?”, and practise active listening. With your support at home, we can work together to nurture a culture of care and connection within our school community.
A reminder to all families that students are required to clean out their lockers on their last day of school. We understand that this may not be Friday, September 19, and we ask for your support to ensure this is completed on your child’s last day of the term. This helps the College ensure that no valuables are left on-site during the two-week break and keeps our community safe.
Congratulations to Theo Blake and Tristan Bartholomew, our Year 8 students, who achieved a Distinction in the recent Australian Maths Competition. This is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects their strong mathematical thinking and commitment to learning. Well done to all Year 8 students who took part in this annual event.

Students must present themselves to the front office to sign out before leaving.
Parents/carers must collect their child from the front office to fulfil our duty of care obligations.
