Hello everyone and welcome to our newsletter article,
Pat Cronin Foundation, Monday 8th September, Assembly @9:10
We are pleased to announce that Ayden, an educator from the Pat Cronin Foundation will attend our school on Monday, 8th September. We will be introducing Ayden to our community at assembly, at 9:10 on this day. He will speak about the values of the Pat Cronin Foundation; Be Wise, Think Carefully & Act Kindly which strongly align with our school values and our message; that violence is never the answer. We are inviting all community members to attend assembly to welcome him to Heidelberg Primary School.
Year 4, 5 and 6 families would will receive communication via Compass newsfeed regarding classroom presentations.
Please see the below family information sheet for more information about the Pat Cronin Foundation education programs.
Wear it Purple Day
This is a national event that celebrates and supports young people in the LGBTQIA+ community. It began in 2010 as a way to raise awareness about the impact of bullying and to promote safe, inclusive, and respectful environments for everyone. SRC have discussed this as a group and have advertised and invited students and staff to wear a splash of purple to school as a visible sign of support. Purple was chosen because it represents “spirit” on the rainbow Pride flag, symbolising the importance of being proud of who you are. By taking part, our school community is sending a clear message: we value diversity, we welcome everyone, and we believe all young people should feel safe, supported, and respected. Thank you for helping us make this day meaningful for our students.
Policy Review
Recently, the School Council and Education Sub-committee have reviewed the following policies, Health Care Needs, First Aid and Complaints Policies. These have also been added to our school website. Any questions please reach out.
