VET Business Students Put Safety into Practice at LeMans Entertainment

On Tuesday 7th May, our VET Business students had the exciting opportunity to visit LeMans Entertainment as part of their study of two key units: Contribute to the Health and Safety of Others and Assist in Maintaining Workplace Safety.

Upon arrival, students were welcomed by Andrew, one of the LeMans managers responsible for overseeing maintenance and repairs. Andrew conducted a comprehensive workplace health and safety induction, treating students as though they were new employees joining the LeMans team. This provided valuable insight into real-world safety protocols and expectations in a fast-paced entertainment venue.

Following the briefing, students toured the facility, exploring how workplace health and safety procedures are embedded across the organisation. It was a hands-on learning experience that helped bring classroom theory to life.

After the formal component of the day, students were treated to some well-earned fun, participating in a go-kart race and a laser tag competition- activities that also highlighted the importance of maintaining safety while engaging in high-energy environments.

Overall, it was a highly successful and engaging excursion, allowing our VET Business students to deepen their understanding of workplace safety in a dynamic and memorable way.
