Wellbeing Team News
The Wellbeing Team are Tired! 🥱
Not of the term, and not of the work… but we’ve been busy doing more programs and exciting things than ever, this year so far! We’ve been hard at work bringing new initiatives to the school community and have seen some great response so far. Working with the changing and evolving needs of the students and families is one of our biggest priorities, and we’ve worked to bring in a variety of supports to match, including Psychologists, ongoing work with our School Lawyer and Doctors, One-On-One Mentors, Program Facilitators and external guests, and more.
If you or your child are interested in any of our services, please encourage them to come down to Wellbeing and chat with us about how to link in with these services! Check out the poster below on how students can book in a Lawyer or Doctor appointment themselves! 🧑⚖️🩺
Goodbye Tess! 👋
The Wellbeing Team are sad to farewell one of our own, Theresa Avice! She’s been working hard with the team at HPSC for a Year and a half, and has helped with everything from running Programs, working with students one on one, working as part of the Inclusion Team, and much more. Thank you for everything you’ve offered to the school and go well on your new adventures! We hope you’ll visit us at HP! 💐
IDAHOBIT was a massive success! 🏳️🌈
Last Week the Wellbeing Team (huge thanks to Harlin for all the hard work organising!) ran our annual IDAHOBIT Celebration Day! Starting off with a special Breakfast Club, adorned with balloons, rainbows, and streamers; Staff and Students enjoyed a delicious and very colourful breakfast to start off their day! The vibes were great, with everyone striking their craziest poses at the Photo Booth, enjoying some sprinkled pancakes, and chatting about the lunchtime activities waiting for them later on!
At lunch, students couldn’t get enough of the activities as they connected with local Community Workers from a variety of organisations, like the Satellite Foundation, City of Casey Youth Services, Centre for Multicultural Youth, Victoria Police, and more! The Casey 360 Bus also joined in for the fun earlier this week, connecting with our students around the importance of Inclusion and safety in the community. A massive thank you to everyone involved and for making the message of Inclusion and Pride at HPSC so understood and celebrated every year!
A Thank you to all of our Volunteers! 🙏
The Wellbeing Team host a mix of Volunteers throughout the year – with some coming in for a few hours a week, and others coming in for a few days! Each contribution adds so much to the college community, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the time they give to improve our students’ experience at school. Particularly, those from the Raise Mentoring Program and EdConnect Mentoring Program have been consistent and reliable supporters for our Young People over the past years. Helping mentor in and out of class, serving Toasties with Breakfast Club, jumping in on Lunchtime Clubs, our Volunteers have continued to be an important piece of the Wellbeing Puzzle, and we thank you all for being here!
Welcome KC, our Wellbeing Placement Student! 📚
Hi, Hampton Park Secondary College Community,
My name is KC, pronouns she/they.
I'm a placement student and counsellor in training working towards a post-graduate qualification in counselling.
I have a background in disability, where I have supported folks with a range of mental health issues. I am interested in person-centered and strength-based counselling practices to support young people to feel heard and seen.
Outside of work, I find joy and balance in yoga, nature and art. I'm a big fan of chocolate and spicy food and have a soft spot for all things from the eighties and nineties era, including music and movies.
I am super keen to support the wellbeing team and students at HPSC, and to continue growing and learning.
Support for Parents of Year 7s! 🤲

Running for 4 Sessions, once weekly throughout June, the Group will serve the Casey community and provide important support, strategies, tips, and connection. Sign up via the details in the Flyer below - Lock in your place before Registrations close on Monday 26th! If you have any questions, call Chris from the Wellbeing Team on 8795 9400.
