Weekly Wrap: Year 12

Year 12 Advisory

One term down, only two terms to go!

Hello from the Yr 12 class. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday break, but we're back into the swing of things now in Term 2, and it's business as usual. We enjoyed a delicious morning tea on our first day back; a charcuterie platter and chocolate cake- it was just what we needed to kickstart the term!  We've been busy in Week 2 with plenty of SACs, having already completed a Business Management and a Psychology SAC. Very glad they’re over and out of the way! Yesterday, we all completed our last school cross country. Yay! This Friday, we'll be running a stall at the Mother's Day Fete, selling fairy floss and snow cones. All proceeds will go towards our graduation, so we'd love to see as many people as possible come along and buy our tasty treats.

Year 12 Biology

Joe, Zali and Fletcher have completed the first of three successive prac investigations in Biology, which they will compare in their next SAC. Thanks goes to our Year 11 classmate, Sarah, for her efforts to help with data collection.

Yr. 10 Work Experience

Work Experience Update

Year 10 students have all met 1:1 with Abby and have identified their industry interests. Last week, each student learned to scan, download, rename, and email a document to businesses. We are excited to announce that we have secured 2 placements already, with 3 more looking very likely. This week, students will finish their resumes and continue contacting Melbourne businesses. If you have any family, friends, or contacts you believe would suit this year’s cohort, please make contact with Abby Mulquiny at the school or via email at abby.mulquiny@education.vic.gov.au.

Students will be staying in Fitzroy during the last week of November and first week of December.
