Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope all our mums, grandmothers, and other special women enjoyed a wonderful day last Sunday—the weather certainly played its part. On behalf of our entire community, I’d like to thank Louise Dare and her team for their fantastic work organising the Mothers’ Day Stall. The children truly enjoyed choosing gifts, and it was heartwarming to see their excitement.
As adults, we know the old saying that it’s better to give than to receive. There’s a special joy in seeing a loved one’s face light up through a gift, gesture, or kind word. We must give our children opportunities to experience and recognise these moments.
Love is stronger than hate, understanding can overcome ignorance, and kindness can triumph over meanness. I hope Mothers’ Day was a meaningful reminder of these truths for all our families.
NATIONAL WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY (Thursday, May 22nd) This is a great opportunity to consider how our kids get to and from school. We all know the benefits of extra exercise and fewer cars on the road, but I wonder if we have considered the benefits such as self-confidence, self-reliance and independence that come with kids taking responsibility for getting to and from school. Please see further in this newsletter for information about some options that our school is offering to support this day.
Kind regards,
Karl Dwyer
