What a fantastic Term 2 !

In Discovery Literacy, we’ve been learning how to stay healthy—physically, emotionally, and socially. We've had some amazing experiences to support this, Fun Fit Yoga session, forest bathing at Gresswell Forest, animal therapy at Bundoora Farm, making rice paper rolls in the Discovery Center, and visiting Sculli Brothers in Greensborough Plaza and Coburg Market.

We have made great progress with vertical addition and subtraction, and have begun exploring multiplication and division.

Our Sounds-Write sessions have been a valuable part of our learning experience and we continue to build strong phonics skills through letter sounds, segmenting, and blending.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

9/10H

Wow, this term has just flown by! The highlights have been our regular experience days which have been aimed at exploring our ‘One Body for Life’ unit. We’ve been to Greensborough Plaza to explore new fruits and vegetables, we’ve been to Gresswell Forest for nature bathing, we’ve spent an afternoon in the kitchen making healthy snacks and even got handy with a hammer and nails to make our own rainmakers!

Lucy and I have been so impressed by the way our class has had a true ‘have a go’ attitude this term. It’s allowed us to explore and experience new things that we have never tried before.

Hoping that you all have a safe and happy holidays, and we can’t wait to see you all back here in Term 3!

Elise and Lucy
