Term 2

What a vibrant and energetic term it has been!

This term, our students have been diving deep into the theme of Healthy Minds and Bodies. We've explored how the food we eat and the way we move our bodies affect our health, energy, and emotions. From smoothie making and recipe studies to learning how to read food labels and "Eat the Rainbow," students discovered the powerful link between nutrition and well-being.

We’ve certainly been out and about! Highlights included visits to the Coburg MarketBundoora Farm, and a fruit and veg scavenger hunt at Greensborough Plaza

Students also loved the hands-on experiences of healthy cooking, African drumming, and the calming energy of our Fun Fit yoga session. Exploring nature through forest bathing and connecting with animals during our animal therapy visit were big hits too!

'It was lovely to see lots of you at the Open Morning earlier in the term. The students loved sharing their learning and classrooms with you.

In the classroom, students participated in mindfulness and body scan activities, helping them tune in to how their bodies feel when calm or active. These experiences have supported them in understanding the importance of emotional regulation, kindness, and community connection.

We finished the term reflecting on how being a good community member and practising mindfulness are essential to overall health—and it's clear that our students are taking these lessons to heart.

We also celebrated some amazing achievements in Cross Country this term. A number of students made it through to the next stage, including a big congratulations to Justin, Jamie, Gabes and Zahlee!

A personal highlight for me was taking a group of students to the Trade and Tech Fit Expo, where female and gender-diverse students explored the exciting world of trades and technology. The students showed enthusiasm, curiosity, and embodied our Concord values throughout the day.

A special shout-out to Alannah, who was our MVP—she gave everything a go, from crafting a wooden phone holder to flying a simulator plane and even navigating a boat through a tricky course!

Thank you to all the students for your curiosity and energy, and to families for your continued support. We’re proud of the growth and enthusiasm our learners have shown this term. Wishing everyone a restful break!
