Cultural Day  - Friday May 30th

Shared Lunch Event - Dish donations wanted

We are excited to announce that our annual Cultural Day celebration will take place on Friday, May 30th. This special event is an opportunity for our whole school community to come together and celebrate our rich diversity through cultural dress, performances, and food.

Food is a universal language, and we believe it’s a wonderful way to learn about and appreciate different cultures. As part of the day, we invite all staff and students to bring a cultural dish to share at our whole-school shared lunch. Dishes don’t need to be large—small sample-sized portions are just as welcome and appreciated!

Important Information for Food Contributions:

  • Please include an ingredients list with your dish to help those with allergies make informed choices.
  • Food donations can be reheated or refrigerated prior to serving if necessary.
  • Please clearly label containers with your name so they can be returned afterward.
  • Dishes don’t need to be large—small dishes are welcome
  • All cultures are welcome to donate food

If you would like to donate a dish, please complete our Google Formto help us prepare for the event.

Optional Gold coin donation BBQ

On Cultural Day we will have a limited amount of BBQ food available. The food will include a range of halal sausages including some chicken ones that can be purchased for a gold coin donation.

The money raised by the BBQ will go towards supporting the Homestead Wellbeing fund and also be donated to Western Chances, an education charity that provides our school with a lot of support.
