Semester 2 subject change requests

Subject changes for semester 2 will be open from next week. 

 

Students will be able to pick up a Subject Change Request from outside of the Pathways office from Monday the 2nd of June.

 

All students will need to complete the following process to request a subject change:

  • Complete the form
  • Take the form home and have parents sign the form
  • Student needs to sign the form
  • Take the form to the student managers; have a conversation and ask them to sign the form
  • Bring completed form to the Pathways office for either Brenton or Mitch to sign 

 

Year 10 students wishing to make a subject change request will need to consider the following:

  • Changes align with your chosen pathway
  • Changes will not be made to your English and Maths class to assist with a move
  • The subject that you would like to move into has space
  • That you will still be completing a subject from each domain. 
  • Students will NOT be able to pick up a VCE Access subject in semester 2
  • Students undertaking a VCE Access subject will not be able to change subject VCE Access subject
  • Students wishing to change from General Maths to Advanced Maths will need to complete a test, with a minimum pass of 75% to be considered. 
  • You will only be able to change into subjects that run in the same line as the subject you are changing out of. 

 

Year 11 students wishing to make a subject change request will need to consider the following: 

  • Changes align with your chosen pathway
  • Changes will not be made to your English class to assist with a move
  • The subject that you would like to move into has space
  • Students will NOT be able to move into English Languages (You will have missed too much content in Unit 1)
  • Students can request a move into Literature, although space is limited.  

 

Remember that you are making a request, not all requests will be approved as space is limited. 

 

The last day Subject Change Request forms will be accepted at the Pathways office is the  13th of June by 3.15pm. Forms submitted after this day & time WILL NOT be accepted.
