Year 12 Student Manager's Report

Every day matters

🎓 Year 12 Update – May Edition 🎓

As we near the halfway point of the year, it’s incredible to reflect on how quickly 2025 is flying by! Year 12 students have been working hard and making the most of every opportunity—from their academic studies to unforgettable experiences outside the classroom.

🏕 Year 12 Camp – Kangaroobie Adventures!

Earlier this term, our Year 12 cohort set off for an unforgettable camp at Kangaroobie, and what a time we had! We kicked off the camp with a scenic hike over sand dunes to a stunning beach, setting the tone for a few days of challenge, laughter, and connection.

Throughout the camp, students took part in a wide range of exciting activities including:

  • đŸ›¶ Canoeing
  • đŸ’Ș Obstacle Course
  • 🐄 Farm Activities
  • đŸ”„ Survivor Challenge
  • đŸŽČ Life or Death Game (don’t worry—it’s not as scary as it sounds!)

Evenings were just as fun, with a lively trivia night that brought out everyone's competitive side and plenty of opportunities for students to bond, unwind, and create lasting memories with friends.

📚 Academic Focus – Unit 3 and the GAT

While camp provided a refreshing break, students have quickly returned to their studies, with many doing an outstanding job in their Unit 3 subjects. Keep up the great work YEAR 12'S—it’s all part of the journey toward your goals!

A key milestone coming up is the General Achievement Test (GAT), scheduled for June 17. This is a crucial part of completing your VCE, so we encourage all students to take it seriously. To support their preparation, we’ll be holding a GAT preparation session on May 29—students must attend!

✅ Final SACs and Study Support

As Unit 3 SACs wrap up, we want to remind students that support is always available. Whether you’re looking for extra help or just a quiet place to study:

  • Study Club runs every Thursday after school, with teachers available to support your learning.
  • Period 0 classes are a great opportunity to get extra time with your teachers—make the most of them!

🌟 Final Thoughts

To all our Year 12s: we’re proud of the dedication and spirit you’ve shown this year. Keep pushing, stay connected, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support. Best of luck with your upcoming SACs and GAT prep—you’ve got this!
