Celebrating Learning

A witch, she went a-shopping

One fine autumn day

One fine autumn day

She bought some stew,

And a new broom too,

One fine autumn day - Hey hey

One fine autumn day

A witch, she went a-sweeping

One busy cleaning day

One busy cleaning day

She dusted her house

And chased out a mouse

One busy cleaning day - Hey hey

One busy cleaning day

A witch, she went to dressing

One dark midnight hour

One dark midnight hour

She straightened her hat,

And patted her cat,

One dark midnight hour – Hey hey

One dark midnight hour

A witch, she went a-riding

One full moonlit night

One full moonlit night

She took up her broom,

And Ala-ka-zoooooooooooooooooooooooom!

One full moonlit night – Hey hey

One full moonlit night

We have been moving our Autumnal morning circle together through gesture, story, poetry, song, rhythm, number and dance.

We have completed our place value main lesson travelling through the Fairy Queendom with Nin the number numbat, Queen Infinity and her children Una, Decie, and Centie, discovering fairy gems and counting and keeping track of them with pouches and sacks.

We are now embarking on another journey through our Vowel Angels main lesson, encountering the villages and their sounds within English Land and flying with the open wings and songs of Avery, Evie, Iris, Ophelia and Uma.

Autumn birthdays and colours continue bringing celebration and richness to our days.
