Dear parents and carers,

Are you hearing talk about "The Golden Boot" and wondering what it's all about!?

We recently started the "WOW - 'Walk or Wheel Once a Week on Wednesdays" program with the City of Darebin.

This program encourages students to walk, scoot or cycle to school every Wednesday.

As we approach the winter season, we understand that the weather can be challenging, but we can rug up with beanies, scarves, gloves and jackets, get our umbrellas out have fun while we do it and stay visible and safe with reflective gear.

We encourage families to participate in the 'WOW' program and make it a regular part of their weekly routine. Together we can promote healthy habits and reduce traffic congestion around the school.

Similar to "Ride to School Day" - if you live too far away, maybe consider parking further than usual and walking an extra block or 2!

The class with the highest number of WOW students will be awarded the Golden Boot and a Pizza party at the end of the term!

Save the Date - Join us at the Working Bee - Sunday 15th June 2025

We are giving the Babajen (stage side) some love and sprucing up the gardens with plants and mulch, additional seating options and making better use of the space near the library entrance, painting some external doors and we need YOUR help to make our grounds and gardens shine!

Bring the whole family. While the kids play, lend a hand and together we can create a space our kids will love.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring a plate to share.

Look forward to seeing you there!
