Leadership

Intensive School Support (ISS) program
Our school is participating in the Department of Education’s new Intensive School Support (ISS) initiative over the next two years. As part of this, our school will receive prioritised support from the area and region, and priority access to department-led programs and professional learning. As part of the program, we recently completed a 5-day alignment review led by an independent school improvement specialist examining the school’s Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) and the supports provided by the region and the department. This alignment review included several focus groups with staff, students and parents, and classroom observations. Thank you to everyone who took part in the focus group feedback.
A report will be provided to the school later this term with recommendations for the school and the Department to implement continued school improvement.
Student Leadership
As announced in the previous edition of the Dhumbadjirri, we have appointed a number of Year 6 students to formal leadership positions. Our School Ambassadors, Elodie, Felix, Luka and Bilal have been doing a wonderful job promoting the school to prospective parents as they join them for tours of the school, giving the valuable student perspective on life at TPS.
All of our student leaders will be announced and presented with badges at assembly on Monday.
We look forward to hearing from our student leaders about their roles and the work that they are doing as a regular feature of future Dhumbadjirri editions.
