Planning Your Journey
Head of Year 10 lschuring@cns.catholic.edu.au
Next week, we will welcome Melinda and Daniel from Collective Shout to the College to speak with our Year 10 students. The information presented may be confronting, however, necessary to challenge the culture our young men and women are exposed to. We hope this will be beneficial for our students. Please encourage your young person to reach out for support at the College if necessary.
Next Thursday, 22 May, the Year 10 Cohort will be receiving their vaccinations. For parents/carers who have consented and requested both vaccines, your child will receive one dose of Meningococcal ACWY and one dose of Meningococcal B. If your child is receiving the Meningococcal B vaccination, they will receive a second dose later in the term.
Thursday, 29 May, 7:00 pm—8:00 pm, via Zoom. Watch the webinar via phone, tablet, or other computing device (no webcam needed).
Hosted by JCU and QTAC, this one-hour interactive webinar will provide you with a greater understanding of the ATAR system, how to use this information to choose Year 11 subjects and some information on QTAC and degree selection.

Feedback Surveys will be conducted during Weeks 6-8 of Term 2, May 26 – June 13, to enable the analysis of results to be incorporated into the school's annual planning processes.
All parents and staff will be invited by email from CES to complete the survey, and all students in Years 5, 6, 8, and 11. We estimate that the survey will take up to 20 minutes to complete. All surveys are anonymised in the Survey Manager system, with email reminders sent weekly to non-respondents. Please don't share your survey link - families, staff, and students must access it in their email.
Enjoy your weekend; we look forward to welcoming students back to the College on Monday!
