Sport & PE - Mrs McCleary

Newsletter - Term 2 - week 3 PE/Sport
Term 2 PE lessons are well under way and our focus will be Invasion games for the Yr 3-6. We will explore different games such as AFL, Soccer and Netball. For the Yr Prep-2 this will also be a focus but more on the Fundamental Motor skills used in each of these games such as Kick, Dodge and Catch.
There are also lots of Sport activities happening this term with Cross Country for the Yr 3-6 and the Winter Gala for Yr 5-6. The House cross country event was a great success last Thursday and it was fabulous to see everyone's efforts on the day. Thank you to all the parent helpers and teachers who helped marshall the course and set up. We couldn’t do this without you all. And a big shout out to Annalise, Barb and Christine who came early to help with the set up.
For the house competition, students scored points for their house on where they finished the race and the results are as follows;
1st place = Ignatius
2nd Place = Manresa
3rd Place = Loyola
4th Place = Montserrat
