Principal's News

Dear Familes and Friends of Trinity Primary School,

Last Saturday seems like such a long time ago but what a great day it was for our school community hosting the voting for our Federal election.  Once again a number of dedicated parents and staff were on hand to set up, cook, serve and talk to the many people from our local community who came to vote.

The numbers: 1400 sausages and burgers sold, 55 loaves of bread, 22KG of onions cut and cooked, many cookies and cakes sold at our bakestall, 20+ volunteers helped and $4,800 raised for our school. A special thanks to Leonie, Amanda and Lisa for organising this wonderful eve

These events really do help promote our school in the Richmond area and give people a great sense of who we are. Many new families I have met with have said how they had first experienced Trinity at a school fete, election day or at our 100 year celebration last year. With some votes still to be counted a number of positions are yet to be finalized, but whether or not the successful candidates are the ones each of us had voted for we truly hope that they are able to reperesent all members of the country fairly and with the best interests of Australia, as a nation, in their hearts and minds.

Mothers Day

A reminder that tomorrow 9th September we will be celebrating our Mothers and Special Person's  Day with our annual Breakfast and Gifts Stall. We will have our Coffee Cart onsite serving up delicious coffees as well as the usual treats for breakfast. The morning will begin from 8:00am and coffees will be available until 10:00am. We are looking forward to a great gathering of all these very special people.

A reminder also that the Mother's Day Stall will be run on again tomorrow on Friday with great gift ideas available.

Term Learning Overviews

Last week I included the Term Learning Overviews for each Year level and I hope you have had a chance to look through these. Knowing what will be covered in class throughout the term can help you in discussing the learning your child will be doing in each of the learning areas.

Jesuit Mission Maytime Fair at Xavier

Last Saturday Mrs Antonella took a very lucky group of ourYear 4s to the Jesuit Mission Maytime Fair at Xavier College. Xavier very generously provide the transport as well as food and amusement vouchers for each of our children who all came back to school with smiles on their faces after a wonderful morning.  The Jesuit Mission who organize and run the Maytime Fair raise much money for their charities helping the lives less fortunate than us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day or supported Jesuit Mission through online purchases—your generosity helped make this year’s Fair a tremendous success! With beautiful weather drawing in large crowds, many stalls sold out, creating a buzzing atmosphere of energy and goodwill.
