St Martin’s de Porres Feast Day
A reminder that Friday 3rd November is St Martin de Porres Feast Day. To celebrate the day the children may like to wear clothes that represent their cultural background or even a splash of orange to show harmony in our community. Attached is a poster designed by our student leaders to outline our activities for the day!
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Medical Management Policy
At St Martin de Porres, the health and safety of our students is our priority. As mandated by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic schools, we must have plans and procedures in place to manage our students' health care needs.
If your child has a condition such as anaphylaxis, asthma, eczema, allergies (including hay fever), diabetes, a specific condition form (Medical Management Plan) must be completed by a doctor and supplied to the school with their photo attached.
If your child requires mediation at school, the Medication Authority Form must be completed and signed by the family as well as a medical professional.
As many students' medical plans may expire over the school holidays or expire early in the new year, it is important that all medical plans are updated and/or in date before the start of the new school year. It is a good time to make sure that you check all dates of medical plans and ensure that you have time to see your health care professional before the expiry date.
Once students' Medical Management Plans and Medication Authority Forms are received from the school, your child’s teacher will make time to arrange a teacher parent consultation, where a Student Health Support Plan will be developed.
If documents are not provided to the school, medication can not be administered to your child. Your child can not attend school or excursions without the required documentation.
Below are some examples of specific medical plans that are obtained from a medical professional.
