Spring Concert 2023
Nossal's dual traditions of hosting Spring and Autumn concerts have stood the test of time. On Wednesday 11 October, around a dozen ensembles and over a hundred individuals collaborated to create a musically rich experience. From the well-established String Orchestra to the debuting Indian Drummers, every performance that filled the concert's two hours added something of value.
In a school known for academics and innovations in STEM, the importance of Nossal's music program should not be understated. Every student has a creative spark in them that Nossal does its best to nurture and cultivate. The Spring Concert was an excellent display of the cohort's collective spark. The supportive environment fostered by everybody involved in the concert was inspiring.
Near the end of the concert, many students snuck into the free seats in the auditorium to applaud their fellow performers. In short, the Autumn concert was a showcase of musical excellence that everybody in the community should continue to support in the future, and if you missed it this year, I can promise that next year's concert will be worth your five bucks.
