JEMIMA SAW & FARISHTA YOUSAFZAI
A warm welcome to all of our Billy Button children and their families!
The first few weeks at Billy Button are a time of transition, change, building new relationships and hopefully full of joy and wonder. For many of our three-year-olds, this is their first experience of care outside of the home environment. We are very grateful to be able to offer these little ones a slow and gentle start to preschool and hope that is a positive beginning to their educational journey.
As educators, we believe it is crucial that we endeavour to build warm, reciprocal and respectful relationships with you and your children. We are also able to support your little ones by providing predictable rhythms to the day, a gentle approach to separation and a safe, nurturing environment for them to explore.
It has been delightful to watch the beginnings of new connections and friendships amongst the children. They have been enjoying chopping fruit together, making bread buns, building cubbies, pushing each other on the swings, digging in the sandpit and chatting away enthusiastically at mealtimes. Some of our Billy Buttons have excitedly invited others to join in their games, marvelled at each-others block creations and even offered a small hand to hold when a new friend has felt sad. No doubt there will be many more special moments shared in the year ahead!

Thank you to all the families that came along on Saturday to help us at the preschool working bee. It was a lovely opportunity to gather together and a very productive morning indeed – as the song goes, many hands make light work!

Thank you for trusting us with your precious little people. We hope that the year ahead is full of magic, joy, wonder, new friendships and lots of learning through play!
Warmly,
Jemima and Faristha
