Office Reminders for Families – Billy Button to Class 7
A few gentle office-related reminders for all parents and carers from Billy Buttons through to Class 7.
We have quite a few new families in our school community, and with our Cassia Transition children moving up to Class 1 in Primary, this may be a helpful refresher for everyone.
Late Arrivals
Class 1 to Class 7: If you arrive after 8:30am, please come to the office before going to the classroom. You will need to sign your child in and collect a red Late Arrival note to give to the class teacher.
Cassia Classes: If you arrive after 8:40am, please come to the office before heading to the classroom. You will need to sign your child in and collect a red Late Arrival note for the teacher.
Billy Button and Ruby Saltbush: Please sign your child in on the class sign-in sheet. There is no need to come to the office.
Absences
If your child is staying home due to illness or for any other reason, please notify us by:
- Emailing the office at office@alicesteiner.nt.edu.au and copying in your class teacher, or
- Calling the office on 08 8953 4578.
The same process applies for longer absences due to holidays, travel, family commitments or sporting events — please let both the office and your class teacher know.
When you notify us by email, please feel assured that we have received your message, even if you do not receive a reply. We truly appreciate you keeping us informed.
Early Departures
If you need to collect your child early for an appointment or other reason, please come to the office first to sign your child out and collect an Early Departure note to give to the class teacher.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping new families settle into the rhythm of school life. We appreciate the way our community looks after one another.
🅿️ Car Park Safety Reminder
🎒 Use your head — stay on the red!
🚫 Don’t go astray — don’t walk on the grey!
(For new families: “red” refers to the red-coloured paths.)
🚶♀️ Walk only on the red paths — please don’t walk or run across the middle of the car park.
👀 Use the paths provided, even when you don’t have your children with you. It can be difficult for drivers to see pedestrians while reversing.
🌟 Set a great example for all students by following the rules.
⚠️ PLEASE SLOW DOWN — car park speed limit is WALKING PACE ONLY!
⛔ Do NOT leave your vehicle running.
