Headlice present at School

A Gentle Reminder to Our School Families

Dear Parents,

We have recently noticed that head lice have once again been present within the school community. As is often the case in lively, close-knit classrooms, these things can circulate quietly among the children.

We kindly ask that all families take a moment this weekend to check their child’s hair carefully and, if needed, carry out the appropriate treatment. With everyone’s mindful attention, we can help ensure a fresh and comfortable start for all on Monday.

Some natural ideas for treatment as well as prevention are Rosemary and Tea Tree Essential Oils. You can add them to your shampoo as a prevention. Another idea for treatment is Vinegar and Oil. Please do reach out if you need more help or advice.

Thank you for your care and cooperation in supporting the wellbeing of our whole school community.

We’re excited to welcome Lion Heart Association to our school for a vibrant Lunar New Year Lion Dance performance! The celebration will take place on Thursday 26 February at 8:30am on the basketball court

Students are invited to gather and enjoy this lively cultural tradition that symbolises good luck, prosperity, and a joyful start to the year.

We’re delighted to be starting a new weekly initiative: Cuppa Time, held every Friday morning at drop-off in the Hall.

Cuppa Time is a simple, welcoming space for parents, carers and friends of the school to pause, connect, and enjoy a cuppa together at the start of the day. No agenda, no rush — just a chance to build community. Our first Cuppa Time will be a special one, with an opportunity to meet Pep, our new Interim Principal

Everyone is welcome — whether you can stay for five minutes or fifty. We’d love to see you there.

📍 Where: The Hall🕗

When: Fridays (from Feb 20), at drop-off☕

Bring: Yourself (we’ll bring the cuppa!)

🅿️ Car Park Safety Reminder

🎒 Use your head — stay on the red!

🚫 Don’t go astray — don’t walk on the grey!

(For new families: “red” refers to the red-coloured paths.)

🚶‍♀️ Walk only on the red paths — please don’t walk or run across the middle of the car park.

👀 Use the paths provided, even when you don’t have your children with you. It can be difficult for drivers to see pedestrians while reversing.

🌟 Set a great example for all students by following the rules.

⚠️ PLEASE SLOW DOWN — car park speed limit is WALKING PACE ONLY!

Do NOT leave your vehicle running.
