Japanese

Konnichiwa, Monty Community!

Foundation students began their first Japanese lessons last week and were very excited to learn a new language. Some students proudly told me they already knew how to count from 1 to 10 in Japanese—thanks to their older siblings from Monty!

I encouraged students to be a “mini sensei” (mini Japanese teacher) and teach new words or songs to their parents at home. Learning a new language is all about using it regularly, not only in the classroom but also beyond it. I am looking forward to supporting the students on their new journey of learning Japanese!
