Graduate Outcome Awards
Last week students from each class in F-6 were presented with the COURAGE Graduate Outcome Awards.
Students who graduate from St. Therese's Primary School are people of COURAGE who try new things, stand up for others and take responsibility for their actions. They admit mistakes, say sorry and persist when faced with challenges.
Our next award will be on the Graduate Outcome of RESPECT.

Water Safety Swim Lessons - Term 4
An email has been sent out to all families regarding our upcoming Water Safety lessons taking place in Term 4 at Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre. Please note that these lessons teach the students WATER SAFETY, as per the Victorian Water Safety Certificate, and is not a Learn to Swim Program. A copy of the email is below.
Dear Parents/Carers,
All St. Therese’s students will be attending Swim Safety lessons at Gurri Wanyarra as part of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum requirements and the Victorian Water Safety Certificate in Term 4.
These Water Safety lessons will take place in Week 3 (Monday 19th October – Friday 23rd October) for the JUNIOR students and in week 6 (Monday 9th November – Friday 13th November) for the MIDDLE/SENIOR students. The exact times for your child’s class will be forwarded to you via PAM soon.
In the meantime, the staff at Gurri Wanyarra have asked ALL families to fill out this 2026 Water Safety Parent Form outlining your child's swimming ability and familiarisation with water. This will help place your child in the appropriate group for the swim safety lessons. A list classroom teachers and class codes are listed below for reference when completing the form.
If you are unsure of where to place your child, it is always advisable to err on the side of caution.
Should you not provide this information to the Centre, they will assume that your child has limited or no water experience and will place them accordingly.
If families could please fill in the information requested by Monday 5th October it would be greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions please direct them to your child's teacher or myself.
Many thanks,
Melanie Woods
PE Co-Ordinator and Teacher
If all families could please fill out the form at their earliest before 5th October to assist with the organisation and smooth running of this program.
