Reflection: Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C February 23, 2025

Our readings this weekend remind us that we are part of a world where God wants us to be people of compassion and love to those around us.

At the Year 12 Retreat last week, our students considered the year ahead, how they can be there to provide support and strength for others when things get difficult. We are fortunate to have such wonderful and generous young people in our school. Over the three days of retreat they prayed, reflected, talked, supported each other, and discussed their hopes and dreams for the future. They shared with compassion, and challenged themselves. There were plenty of moments of fun for them to look back on, dressing up for dinner in their best op-shop purchases, painting with face paints affirmation images and images of support on each other, reading letters sent by their closes family and friends and writing messages to their future selves.  We pray for our Year 12 students that, with the support of their family and friends, this year is everything they hope and dream for.
