P&F News

Hello parents, caregivers and friends of the St Joseph’s community and welcome back to a new and exciting school year for 2025.

On Tuesday evening, 11th February, our P&F Committee met for our Annual General Meeting in which all executive positions of the committee were declared vacant and filled for the forthcoming year.

Many thanks go to our outgoing President Ayla Hemmings for her time served in the position as President. This year’s St Joseph’s P&F Executive consists of Karina Falkenmire (President), Lizzy Newberry (Vice President), Ayla Hemmings (Secretary) and Rochelle Cashen (Treasurer).

The P&F Committee are a dedicated team of parents who meet each term to discuss fundraising, community building functions and improvements happening around the school.

This year our P&F Committee endeavour to raise upwards of $10,000 through various events and have asked for a wish list to be compiled by the school of equipment, resources or fund allocation for school activities which could be donated to benefit all students at St Joseph’s.

Throughout the year, we have a number of planned fundraisers and events including our biennial colour run, athletics carnival, discos, Mother’s Day stall and Father’s Day breakfast to name a few. We would greatly appreciate the support of the St Joseph’s community across these events through both attendance and volunteer participation. As events draw nearer, we will be putting the call out for community members who may be able to assist us with donations or participation at each event. We understand that not everyone is able to commit to attending meetings but would be able and willing to help at various events.

If you have fundraising ideas or suggestions for the P&F Committee throughout the year, please note that our new email address is: stjosephspf.tamworth@gmail.com

We would love to welcome any new and existing members to our next meeting which is to take place on Tuesday 6th May, 5.30 – 6.30pm in the Library (Week 2, Term 2). Please enter through the school gate next to the admin office. This is a great opportunity to involve yourself in the school community, to act in the best interests of your children, look for creative ways to fund school projects that will benefit all students as well as meet new people. We look forward to another successful year of learning for our children.

Regards,

Karina Falkenmire
