IMPORTANT: Decision to cancel 2025 Conference

Following the success of last years Conference, in New Plymouth, we have been working hard to bring you an equally successful event in Tauranga in May – which also marks the 40th year of First National in New Zealand.

However, since opening registrations, we have noted that the volume of these is significantly down on last year. While the market is showing some improvement in certain parts of the country, no one has escaped these challenges.

It is not the wish of the Board to place further pressure on you at a difficult time, so we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Conference and focus on planning an even better event in 2026. Earlier this week, we reached out to the principals, and we are now informing all salespeople, administration and property management staff of this decision. We also wanted to advise you as soon as possible to avoid the booking of travel and accommodation and/or to allow you to transfer these where appropriate.

We understand that the cancellation of the Conference will also be disappointing to salespeople, administration & Property Managers who might have expected to be recognised at the Conference Awards Night – however, we will be sending all trophies to Branches around the country and we would encourage you to talk to your Principal about holding a suitable event to celebrate achievement within your own teams. 

Clearly, we are disappointed that we will be unable to celebrate our 40th year, together, but we believe that this is the best decision for our members at this difficult time.
