Many of you may already know me and I have been working at Lysterfield in this role for a few years now. I will be working closely with Kayla, Neil and Kim to support the students and families of Lysterfield. I look forward to continuing to work closely with the families at Lysterfield.

School Counsellor / Social Worker - Kim Bedford

This is my third year in this role at Lysterfield Primary School this year and I am very excited to be back again to continue to help support the emotional wellbeing and mental health of our community. I am a trained Social Worker and have been working in child and family services for over 20 years. I have worked in a number of not-for-profit organisations with children and families including homelessness and family violence, drug and alcohol, kinship care, family support, parental mental health and Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health services and I have also worked in a number of different schools. Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader - Kayla Pepper

Hello! My name is Kayla, and I’m thrilled to step into the role of Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader this year. As a familiar face around the school, I’ve loved being part of this wonderful community and I’m excited to support teachers, students and parents in a new way. Along with Robyn, Neil and Kim, we will be working to promote a positive, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and heard. I look forward to working with our community to promote mental health, build resilience, and strengthen our sense of belonging at Lysterfield Primary School.

Student Wellbeing Advisor - Neil Butler

Hi, I'm Neil. I am joining the Lysterfield team this year as a Student Wellbeing Advisor. I have worked as a teacher in London and Melbourne and now support young people in a wide range of ways. I will be working closely with Robyn and Kayla to support the students across the school and am looking forward to getting to know the students of the LPS community. Your children will see me out and about across the school working in classrooms alongside them, and supporting staff to continue to provide outstanding opportunities across the school.
