Year 9 Lead Please Support Our Students 

Lead Passion Projects

As part of our year 9 Lead passion project, students are working together to help the homeless and support a charity with organising a drive. This year we have 2 project teams that are asking for the community's help. Please see below the brief for the different projects. 

 

Project 1 

We are part of a Year 9 group working to support 300 Blankets, a charity that provides aid to those experiencing homelessness. We are seeking donations of decent-quality items that can be included in care packages. Pre owned clothes and blankets in good condition are accepted as well.

 

Our Goal: We aim to create care packages with essential items to support people experiencing homelessness in our community.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration. Together, we can make a positive impact!

We would greatly appreciate donations of the following items:

  • Clothing (e.g. jackets, hats, gloves, scarves)
  • Socks (new and unused)
  • Blankets
  • Sanitary Items (e.g. menstrual products, feminine hygiene wipes)
  • Soap and Hygiene Products (e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, floss, toilet paper)
  • Books (Educational ones would be great)

Donations can be dropped off at the school office beginning March 3rd and will be accepted until March 31st.

Project 2 

As part of the LEAD Passion Project program, a group of our Year 9 students is working together to support people experiencing homelessness. They are collecting donations of non-perishable food items and clothing to help those in need.

 

If you are able and willing to contribute, please drop off your donations at the main administration building by Tuesday, March 12. A clearly marked donation box has been set up for this purpose.

 

Suggested donation items include:

  • Non-perishable food (e.g. canned goods, pasta, rice, long-life milk, muesli bars)
  • Clothing (e.g. warm jackets, socks, gloves, scarves, beanies)
  • Hygiene products (e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary items)
