Bike Education: Mario Kart Relay

During physical education this week year 10 students competed in teams of 4, to complete 16 collective laps of the course. They took it in turns to complete laps and handle penalties/advantages. There were 5 mystery box stations throughout the course. Each box had a random advantage or penalty that could alter their team’s progress. There was Mario Kart tunes cranking from the speakers and the teachers dressed up for the occasion too! It was great to see students cheering their peers along and putting in their best.

YMCA Beyond Boxing Program

A small group of students recently began their journey in this program, focused on building stronger connections with peers and staff. The program encourages students to engage through exercise, strength, self-discipline, responsibility and self-commitment.

Student Shout Outs

During homegroup year 10 students were provided with the opportunity to nominate their peers for a student shout out, for demonstrating the school values of respect, determination and excellence. The names will go in a draw for a reward at our next year level assembly. Here are some of the nominations:

Mason Butler

For treating everyone fairly and being very kind.

Shane Green

During PE he took the time to help fix the broken bikes.

Koda Van Oosterom

He has been very good at arriving prepared for his classes and is a reliable friend.
