Senior School  Report

Jessica Hollands

Over the last few weeks, it has been an honour to observe the senior students and their connection to Woodmans Hill Secondary College strengthen.

I was lucky enough to speak at the Year 12 Badge Ceremony, where we celebrated the leadership and dedication of our most senior students. In my speech, I emphasised the importance of working together and leaning on one another for support. As students take on the challenges of their final year, the strength of their cohort and the connections they build will be invaluable in navigating the journey ahead.

I have also been incredibly impressed with our Year 11 students, who have shown outstanding commitment to their senior studies. Whether it’s making the most of study sessions, seeking feedback, or demonstrating enthusiasm in their VET classes, it’s clear that they are embracing every opportunity to grow and succeed. Their dedication is setting a strong foundation for their future pathways, and I look forward to seeing their continued progress.

Equally admirable is the way our Year 10 students have transitioned into the senior school. Moving into this next phase of their education comes with new expectations and challenges, but they have stepped up with resilience and determination. Their ability to adapt and engage in their learning has been fantastic to witness, and I have no doubt they will continue to thrive as they progress through their senior years.

I am incredibly proud of all our senior students and the way they support each other in their learning and growth. I look forward to seeing them continue to achieve great things this year.
