Careers and VET have hit the ground running with lots of important information, activities, and resources shared with Years 10-12 students. Lets take a look at how our year has started ! 

• Over December and January, working with the 2024 Year 12 cohort to ensure a valid pathway for each student was reached. Excitingly, all but two answered our calls and shared their excitement with news of tertiary placements, apprenticeships, employment, and gap years. 
• Meeting with Year 12 VCE and VCE VET students to explain the pathway considerations and the importance of understanding VTAC and SEAS 
• Assisting Year 11 and 12 VCE VM students find structured work placements 
• Introducing the Year 10s to the Careers program and Work Experience 
• Emailing a weekly Careers Compass Newsletter to Years 11 and 12 
• Providing students and parents with information via the College Careers Website 
• Subscribe to Newsfeed when new items are uploaded 
• Follow the Message Board for upcoming events such as JOB BOOTCAMP for school leavers and MONASH DISCOVERY dates 
• Navigate through information for parents and students in all pathways including Tertiary information, VET, work experience and much, much more 

Call Out for Help

We have some amazing students who are ready to experience work one day a week while they complete studies in VET and VCE Vocational Major at Nazareth. If you know anyone who can take on a student to learn the ropes in the following areas, please contact Theresa Theresa.lochery@nazareth.vic.edu.au and we would love to connect you. From as little as 10 days for one term, we would be very grateful if you could give our applied students the opportunity to put their growing skills into practice. Students are looking for placements in the areas of: 

• Plumbing 
• Carpentry 
• Retail Cosmetics  
• Beauty Therapies 
• Electrical 
• Fashion 
• Aged Care
