Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Guardians and friends of Nazareth

The last couple of weeks have been extremely busy at school establishing new processes and ensuring that the learning programs so staff and students have everything in place to enable a successful year.

I thank the Year 7 students and families for attending the Welcome and Information night in large numbers. If there are any unanswered questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Pastoral Teacher.

At the same time, our VM/VCE students and families attended their respective evenings to be made aware of the related procedures and expectations for Vocational Major, VCE and Careers and Pathways.

The Year 9 students attended their annual camp at Anglesea.  This gave many of them an opportunity to bond and learn new experiences away from the classroom.  I thank our 20 staff members for giving their time and making this experience possible. I offer a special shout out to Ms Sue Formanek, the Camp Coordinator, for all her meticulous planning and ensuring that the students had a wonderful educational experience.

This week I have had the pleasure of meeting each of our new Year 8-11 students and ensuring that they feel welcomed and part of Nazareth.

As a Community, we welcome everyone to Nazareth, in particular the 20 new students and families in Years 8 - 11.  I thank Ms Bernadette Bryant for her work as the School Registrar and Ms Emilia Roberts, the Transition Coordinator; they make it easier for our new families to simply become part of the Nazareth family.

Our next major event is our Open Evening on 4 March 2025, where we plan to showcase our school and all that is on offer.  Please encourage others to come and see for themselves Nazareth’s facilities, educational programs and community spirit.

God Bless

Mr Sam Cosentino
