Junior School
Years 7 & 8
The Year 7 students have made an excellent start to their high school journey! During their two-day transition, they met their Year 12 Big Sisters and Year 11 Peer Support Buddies, who will continue to guide and support them throughout the year. They also learned essential skills, such as using their laptops, reading their timetables and organising themselves for classes.
Friendships are already forming, and with the upcoming camp, there will be even more opportunities to build connections and grow in confidence. The energy and enthusiasm among the students have been fantastic, setting the stage for a positive and exciting year ahead!
It was wonderful to see so many families attend the Year 7 Information Evening. The night began with a warm welcome from Deputy Principals Mr Sam Di Camillo and Ms Lucy Neil, followed by an update from Dr Dermody on how the Year 7s have settled into their high school journey.
Families then had the opportunity to meet their child’s mentor teacher in a focused 20-minute session before enjoying a casual meet-and-greet over a BBQ in the Kirrip Hub. The evening had a fantastic atmosphere, with parents connecting with staff and gaining valuable insights into their child’s start to the year.
