International Exchange Program: Kinjo High School Exchange students

We are pleased to announce that three exchange students from Kinjo High School in Tokyo, Japan have recently joined us at the Academy.   We extend a warm welcome to Martha, Aimi and Minami who will be with us for all of Term 1.

As exchange students, Martha, Aimi and Minami have come to Melbourne to not only expand their knowledge of the English language and gain new experiences, but also to share their rich cultural heritage with us.

We encourage all students to interact with our new peers and embrace the opportunity to learn more about Japanese traditions, language and customs. To ensure their smooth transition into our campus life, the girls have joined 9 Monash for the term and thank you to Ms Tassone who is guiding and supporting them throughout their school day.

We believe that fostering a sense of belonging and friendship will create a positive and memorable experience for all involved.   We hope that Martha, Aimi and Minami’s journey at the Academy is an exciting and enriching one; filled with academic growth, cultural exchange and lifelong friendships.

McAuley Resource Centre

It was wonderful to welcome back all students to the McAuley Resource Centre, especially the Year 7s.  We look forward to a productive year working with all the students with the joy of reading and research.

Please look out for the notices in the “Daily Messages” for information about our Book Clubs and special events.  Our first special event is “Library Lovers Day.”  Library Lovers’ Day is celebrated internationally each year on 14 February.  It is a day to honour libraries, librarians and library lovers, and the valuable roles that libraries play in our lives.

Getting back into a routine is hard.  So here are a couple of reminders from the Library Team:

  • Please return your ‘Holiday Reading Books’.
  • Check your emails on a weekly basis.  Overdue notices are automatically sent via the Library System.  It’s important that you return the book/s by due date.
  • If you wish to renew the book/s, please either speak to a library staff member or email us
