STEM NEWS

Year 4 and 5 STEM: Chemical Science

Year 4 and 5 students in STEM have been investigating how gases cause explosions. In the activity, Bag of Bubbles, students experimented by combining baking soda and vinegar inside a sealed bag and observed how the gas bubbles produced caused the bag to inflate and sometimes pop!

Year 2 and 3 STEM: Robotics

Over the last two weeks, Year 2 and 3 students have had fun coding the Dash Robots. The Dash robots can interact with their surroundings by detecting sounds, objects and movements. Students have been using their maths skills, including angles and measurement, to solve increasingly complex challenges.

SPANISH NEWS

In Spanish class, Prep students master self-introductions using 'Me llamo' alongside their monkey friend, 'Mono’ (Monkey in Spanish). Meanwhile, Grade 1/2 delve into weather types, crafting windwheels to enhance their learning and to have fun.

For STEM, Prep students have been learning about other materials they can use in building a house from the story ‘The three little tamales’. They have pair up and share ideas while helping each other.
