Prayer

Loving God,

You made the world and invite us all to share it.

Open our eyes to see and love the world as you do.

Give us courage to be Christlike, bringing ‘good news to the poor’ by doing all we can to help end poverty.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

As we continue the Lenten journey towards Easter, we are focusing on the the Catholic Core Principle ‘The Common Good’, in particular the value ‘Preferential Option for the Poor.’ Caring for those who are less well off is everyone’s responsibility. Preferential care should be shown to vulnerable and marginalised people, whose needs and rights are given special attention in God’s eyes.

Each class will be reflecting on what they can do to help others in need. We will continue to raise money for Caritas. So far we have already raised $130!

1 John 3:17

“How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the word’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses to help?”

Welcome Father Antony!

Last Thursday we were excited to welcome Father Antony to our school for his first classroom visit. The students in Year 2 were excited to meet him and had a lot of interesting questions to ask. We look forward to more school visits with both Father Abmar and Father Antony.
