Year 12 Jumpers
It was a pleasure to see the Year 12s receive their official jumpers.
These jumpers represent the responsibility and seniority the Year 12s have at the College, distinguishing them and inspiring the rest of the school to look up to them.
There were squeals of joy and bright smiles all around as the students received these special jumpers.

Making a novel real!
In Mrs Bates' Year 10 English class this term they have the pleasure of reading Marcus Zusak’s The Book Thief. In order to make this wonderful book on the life of children during the Nazi reign in 1940’s Europe, Mrs Bates invited her father to the class to speak of his experience as a young man.
Willem (Bill) Grootenboer spoke of his childhood in Nazi occupied Netherlands and his experience of being sent to stay with a family in the country during the war. His biography was a wonderful addition to the experience of reading this novel, providing layers of anecdotes to create a meaningful narrative.
