Term 4 is a long one in the number of weeks (11½), but it usually goes pretty fast because there is always so much happening. Wellbeing Week, Handover Assembly, Year 12’s finishing up, Valedictory, final exams, other year levels completing exams, Orientation Day for 2024 Year 7 students, end of year activities, Presentation Night, plus everything in between. Make sure you take a moment each day to stop and take some deep breaths.

Director of Wellbeing

A big thank you to Officeworks Mentone and Totally Game Southland for their very generous prize donations to support our school community in celebrating Wellbeing Week.
Monday
Barista on the Move provided coffee for our staff before school and Dandee Donuts provided our staff and students with a sugar hit at recess with their delicious hot jam donuts.
Tuesday
Myuna Farm Mobile Animal Ark brought along the cutest animals for us all to cuddle from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Students and staff had a fantastic time with the baby goats, chickens, rooster, goose, guinea pigs and dog over the three hours. Students from all year levels had the opportunity to spend time in the enclosure with the animals, whilst the Year 7 and 8's were given scheduled time during periods 3 and 4.
Kingston Youth Services were also on hand during lunchtime to play some games with students.
Wednesday
Chelt’s Got Talent was in full swing during the afternoon.
The winner, James N. of Year 11, wona pair of JBL Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, kindly donated by Officeworks in Mentone. See the Chelt's Got Talent page for more results and videos.
Thursday
Staff enjoyed some neck and shoulder massages throughout the day whilst we also farewelled our Year 12 students with a morning tea and Guard of Honour. We wish our Year 12 students all the best with whatever their future holds and remind them to always look after their mental health.
Friday
The ‘Kick To Win’ challenge, where students had to kick a footy from 25m into a bin, took place at lunchtime with Year 11 student Dylan P. winning a brand new AFL Sherrin football. Students and staff also enjoyed the wonderful musical performances from our talented musicians - some clips are below.
The following students were nominated as Wellbeing Champions for their year levels for Wellbeing Week. These students exemplify what it means to be kind, caring and supportive of their peers. The students received a Totally Game voucher to the value of $10 which was donated as part of our Wellbeing Week prizes.
Congratulations to:
Year 7 - Natalie P.
Year 8 - Jorji O’D.
Year 9 - Chennie A.
