Day out at Le Mans

On Thursday the 7th of September, the Year 12 VCAL class headed out to Le Mans go-karting to celebrate the achievements of the group over the year.

We started the day by watching a quick briefing to make sure we were all safe on the track, we then hopped into our go-karts and off we went. With a few casualties on the track, we all zoomed around but Ava came out victorious with the fastest time overall and Marty won the fastest lap followed by Ava and Vanderlei.

After go-karting we headed over to Laser Tag for three rounds. Two of the rounds were completed as two teams, Green and Purple. The teams battled it out with players ducking, diving and hiding. Lasers were firing - single shot, rapid fire, shields and invincibility.

Both teams came out with a win each.

As for the solo game, Charles won that with an impressive high score.

Lastly, the class headed down to Mini Golf for 18 holes on the themed Jurassic Park and Egyptian Pharaoh courses.  I personally enjoyed the dinosaur course more.

Charlee came out on top overall for the Green team and Mr Knox for the Purple team.

Overall the day was very enjoyable as a final excursion and as a way to celebrate our achievement of completing Year 12.

Last week of school activities

The Year 12s had a great week of activities for their last official week of school...

College Captain's Handover Assembly

Monday saw the 2023 College Captains; Jasmine, Tobias and Vice Captains, Eli and Mickey address the College at their final all-school assembly. They then handed over the reins to our 2024 student leaders;

College Captains: Zoe and Anastasia

College Vice Captains: Charlotte and Darcy

The 2024 captains then spoke of their goals whilst they hold these important positions.

The assembly also included performances from the talented instrumental music students and Year 12 music students.

Before the conclusion of the assembly, each Year 12 student was called up and then left the gym for the final time whilst being cheered by the College community.

Congratulations to the 2023 Captains and all that they have achieved and to the 2024 Captains, we look forward to seeing what you bring in the coming year.
