Term 4 – Change

This term, for our Religious Education and Inquiry, we are focussing on the overarching idea of ‘Change’.

In Inquiry, we are learning about Chemical Science. Students will discuss properties of different materials, explore how physical materials can be changed (and sometimes reversed), learn about solids, liquids and gases, and the difference between natural and processed materials.

In Religion, we are focussing on the learning descriptors of Morality and Justice. Students will explore Jesus’s message to love one another and how we can show this in our actions. Students will explore the concept of fairness and how they can build respectful relationships, respecting the human dignity of each person.

Junior Class Prayer Services

Throughout this term, each Grade 1/2 class will have the opportunity to participate in a class prayer service in the classrooms. These prayer services are a wonderful opportunity for our families to come and share in and experience at OLA. All families are welcome.

Parents are invited to bring a small plate of food to share in a morning tea afterwards.

Dates for class prayer services:

  • Grade 1/2MV Wednesday 25 October 9am
  • Grade 1/2KM Wednesday 1 November 9am
  • Grade 1/2CE Wednesday 15 November 9am
