Human Society and its Environment
Year 7 have been learning about E-waste in the world and how it can contribute and impact the environment. In class they have been enjoying using a variety of crafting materials to create E-waste posters.
Year 8 have been learning about water in the world. This program explores the varying ways water is used and the access of water people in different parts of the world have. In class they created a PowerPoint presentation and video to find ways to minimize water scarcity in the world.
Year 9 have been completing their topic through poster representations of places around the world. They have created travel infographics that represent the varying check list items one would need when travelling.
Year 10 have been completing the “Running a business” topic for Commerce this term. They have enjoyed creating board games with their classmates that illustrate the different essential items that businesses need to consider.
Modern History recently completed their first HSC Assessment Task about the rise of Nazism and the Collapse of the Weimar Republic. They spent several lessons preparing by completing various activities including the ‘Do Now’ activity below where students had to remove characteristics from the whiteboard that did NOT align with features of Russia dictatorship. Students also engaged in a range of practise questions, source analysis activities and ATOMI quizzes to assist in feeling confident to tackle their first HSC assessment.
