Celebrating Student Leadership and Service
The commencement of Term 4 marks two significant milestones in the life of our upper Secondary students. The first milestone being the commencement of HSC Final Examinations for our graduating class of 2023, and the second is the beginning of the HSC journey for our current Year 11 (now Year 12) cohort.
Both of which are significant transition points in the life of our students.
Throughout the course of the past 12 months, our 2023 School Captain Team comprising Jake Clancy, Delaney Laffy, Allira Hornsby, and Alysha Toohill have been simply outstanding in the way that they have led and supported our school community in their capacity as School Captains.
Through our formal and informal interactions, in addition to our regular ‘listening lunches’, I have continued to be inspired by the passion, dedication and commitment of our School Captain Team to our school and their representation of student voice to support continuous improvement, let alone their support of staff to lead and manage school events.
I take this opportunity to publicly thank and acknowledge Jake, Delaney, Allira, and Alysha for their service and contributions to the life of our School. Observing and supporting your growth and development has been a privilege.
As our HSC class of 2024 commences their first term of Year 12, the leadership and service baton now passes to our School Captain Team for the remainder of 2023 and 2024.
I congratulate all students who expressed interest in assuming a captaincy role and went through the selection process. You should all be duly proud of the way you represented yourselves.
Our School Captain Team for the remainder of 2023 and 2024 is
- Isabelle Barber - (School Co-Captain)
- Ella Bowler - (School Co-Captain)
- Lucas Jettner - (Vice Co-Captain)
- Riley Main - (Vice Co-Captain)
I very much look forward to duly celebrating and acknowledging our current and outgoing School Captaincy Team at our Presentation Assembly in December and wish them the best of luck for their leadership and service over the coming 12 months.
Mr Scott Downward
