Principal's Report

Only the second week in and already things are getting busy!

Middle School Information evening

The Middle School information evening for current Year 7 – 9 students has been postponed for this week - a new date will be set and sent out soon. This evening is where students find out about the electives being offered in 2024 and collect their subject selection handbooks and sheets.

Students/families who can’t make it on the night will have the opportunity to collect the paperwork at school the next day. While subject selections are generally based on a ‘first in, best dressed’ system, selection sheets aren’t accepted on the night to allow students time to think about their subjects for the following year.

Trivia night

The long awaited return of the Trivia Night has finally come! The Function Room at West Peak Hotel is the place to be on Thursday night. From 5.30 – 8.30pm, teams of 4 – 8 students will go head to head to see who reigns supreme!

If you haven’t already, you need to opt in and pay for the event through Compass, provide team names, members and themes at the office – all by Monday! Smaller groups or individuals will go on mixed tables. For only $15, finger food, fun and friendship is guaranteed. Water is free and soft drinks are available for purchase.

Big Blue Table/casual dress day

Monday 16th has been designated as the VM students’ day for fundraising for the Big Blue Table. They will be selling cup cakes with a blue theme and will also be collecting money through a casual dress day.

October is Mental Health Month and this cause aims to fight the stigma of mental health — one meal at a time. Why? Because each meal you have can lead to life-changing conversations. Students are asked to bring a gold coin to donate for coming out of uniform (preferably with a blue theme) and to buy the cupcakes (prices coming soon).
