OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Lord, in our grief and sorrow, we come before you as a community, seeking comfort and light. We entrust to your loving embrace the souls of Raphael, Evita, Philomena, and their grandfather, Peter. Surround the Smith family, their loved ones and all who mourn with your unwavering love and grace.

Amen.

We pray ...

for.....  all Year 12 students in particular the McCarthy Catholic College students as they sit their HSC exams, for Mr and Mrs Kellie Whitbread and Tommy on the safe arrival of their precious daughter/sister Gigi and for all those experiencing loss and devastation as a result of the Israel situation.

CATHOLIC MISSION

October is Mission Month

This year’s Catholic Mission theme is 'Kick Goals For Good in 2023'. Catholic Mission is asking that we join others throughout Australia to learn more about issues of mission and justice and to reach out to the children in Timor-Leste in an effort to support a brighter future. To support Catholic Mission Month our school will be having a “Crazy Socktober Day” on Friday 20th October where the students will be allowed to wear colourful and outrageous socks to school for the day. The students are asked to bring a gold coin donation to school on this day to help raise funds and awareness of how all children have the right to a brighter future. More information about Catholic Mission can be found at https://www.socktober.org.au/

October – Decade a Day

Beginning the first day of Term 4 each grade will take turns and pray a decade of the Rosary. You to may like to do this in your homes. The Rosary helps us to see our human lives in the light of Christ. It is a prayer that can be prayed at any time; however its simplicity and repetition make the Rosary particularly helpful in life’s pauses, journeys and moments of waiting.
