Victorian President's Report
Tina King- APF Victorian President
Engaging with both members and non-members over the course of the term has yielded invaluable feedback for the development of the APF Log of Claims for the upcoming Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA). This comprehensive input will be considered by the EBA bargaining team as we work on crafting the draft document. Once developed, the draft Log of Claims will be distributed to all members in the next term for review and further input, ensuring that it accurately reflects the collective needs and priorities of the principal class.
As the end of the term approaches, it is a time for reflection and celebration. Take a moment to acknowledge the challenges faced, particularly the ongoing workforce shortages that have tested your resilience and adaptability. Remember to celebrate achievements and the everyday successes. Each step forward, no matter how small, is a testament to your hard work and perseverance. As you prepare for the upcoming term break, remember to pause and recharge.
I will be following this advice and taking a leave of absence to travel overseas with my family from mid-July until the end of August. This will be my first extended leave since I started with the APF in January of 2021, and I am greatly looking forward to spending this time on the Greek islands and parts of Italy with family and loved ones.
During my absence, the APF will be managed by our Vice President Wendy Powson who will be supported by Jenna Benison (Executive Officer), Phillip Banks (Industrial Officer) and Wayne Burgess (Member Support Officer). For all advocacy and support, please reach out by phone on 0412 584 002 or via email at apf@apf.net.au
Enjoy a well-deserved break and for now ciao and yia sas!
