St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal

Thank you for your incredible generosity and compassion towards the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Each year, the Winter Appeal plays a vital role in enabling the St Vincent de Paul Society to deliver good works and with your support we continue serving the community, helping those in need, following in the footsteps of Jesus. With the current homelessness crisis, the assistance we provide to those experiencing hardship will be needed more than ever.

The Western Port St Vincent de Paul Conference delivers food parcels to people in need in our community and is currently looking for donations of the following:

During the end of term 2, our 'i sea i care' DRI (Dolphin Research Institute) ambassadors, Peter, Caleb, Tayla and Ruby, carried out peer teaching in each of our junior classrooms. The ambassadors delivered an inspiring and engaging presentation to each of the classrooms about the ocean, our local marine species, the challenges in local marine environments, and how we can all help care for our common home, the Earth. Our junior students loved learning about the ocean from the ambassadors.

The 'i sea i care' ambassadors have been working diligently on their pledge for the DRI program, promoting Waste Free Wednesdays at our school each week, to reduce the amount of rubbish in our school and oceans.

St Mary's is a proud participant in the 7-Eleven Cup Rescue program. We have two cup collection units in our school - one in the front office area and one in the staffroom. It's up to all of us to divert cups from landfill. After use, simply deposit your used cup, lid or straw into one of our cup collection units and our Sustainability team will arrange to have them recycled. We ask that you empty your cups of any liquids before depositing. All brands of cups accepted.
