Year 12 Retreat at Echo  Creek

A Journey of Resilience and Gratitude

From May 27th to 29th, our Year 12 students embarked on an unforgettable retreat to Echo Creek near Tully. Amidst the lush rainforest, they engaged in self-reflection, teamwork, and daring adventures.

Whilst on retreat the students contemplated the unique qualities that define their cohort and made each other gifts to remember these by. They affirmed their strengths, shared experiences, and celebrated the bonds forged during their educational journey through prayer.

Facing the physical activities head-on, our students demonstrated remarkable courage and good humour. They tackled a rainforest hike, honed archery skills, and collaborated to conquer an obstacle course. Scaling a 10-meter-high platform for rock climbing and abseiling, they exemplified determination and fearlessness.

Throughout the retreat, the students maintained an uplifting spirit despite constant rain and muddy conditions. Their positive attitude fueled their resilience, allowing them to overcome obstacles with grace and determination.

We commend our Year 12 cohort for their unwavering character during this transformative experience. Their gratitude and resilience serve as a testament to their growth and unity. Many thanks to the staff who accompanied the students on this journey.

As we return from Echo Creek, let us carry forward the lessons learned and continue supporting one another on our journey.
